Immersion.

Water is a powerful substance which may signify emotions or psychic energy. Water is the substance that can bring life, a common symbol for fertility, growth, creative potential or healing, but water is also a substance that can cause death. In this series the element of water is used as an unconventional portraiture backdrop from which a more organic representation of my subject emerges. The series depict the fragile and insecure mental state caused by the complete immersion  in it, its potential to eliminate and strip our identity all the while revealing human intolerance and frustration from it.
